We did Meme-o-Ween at work, where a number of us dressed as old memes and viral videos. I picked a favourite of mine and dressed as Apparently Kid! If you somehow missed him when he hit viral video fame, find him here.
Apparently, I couldn’t find a shirt like his anywhere. In comes an Amazon polo shirt and some Speedball screenprinting ink, plus a ton of masking tape and stencil brush dabbing. It took hours but I’m pretty pleased with how it came out!
I have no pictures of how I made the microphone! Apparently I was in a rush to finish the day before I needed it. I designed the wrap for the mic based on a screenshot from the original video, and then set it up to print as a cube with an open top. After printing I cut and folded it into shape, glued on a wrapping paper tube painted black, and apparently that’s a a styrofoam ball painted black glued in the top.
