Andy's Room

The day I bought my first Mini Brands Disney Store toy I knew I was in trouble… These little round balls come with 5 miniature surprise Disney toys inside. My first one had Andy’s horse Bullseye from Toy Story (along with some Star Wars items and a Minnie Mouse lunchbox) and knew I was going to do a miniature version of Andy’s room for our grandkids. One turned into six then I just decided I’d hit up Etsy and purchase exactly the figures I need for this project or I’d end up having to open my own Etsy shop for all the duplicates/extras.

I found a triple wide blank book nook on Etsy as well for the room and designed Andy’s furniture in Cricut’s Design Space. The Bo Peep lamp is made from one of the Mini Brands figures on a base of polymer clay with a dowel and painted lampshade. Hamm was made from polymer clay.

I made the games and Etch-a-Sketch, many of the non-Toy Story toys are also from Mini Brands. They have a generic toy line, too.

I decided to put Woody, Buzz and Jessie on the bed where they can plan their adventures.

I ordered an optional plexiglass front cover to keep little fingers from trying to take them out for play time.

The book nook also came with lighting.

Now I’m thinking I need to do something with all the Star Wars figures I got. Happy holidays, everyone!

Thanks so much everyone! @endymion that’s Bonnie’s house outside the window. That was the last detail I added and it was hard to find a good image to use.

Great job!

I’ve purchased a few Toy Mini Brands, probably good they are hard to find around here or I might become addicted. This has given me an idea, maybe I should make a display case for them.
