Could be like, any kind of craft but maybe like a 3 point swap? I think that’s what it’s called where it could be one big or 3 small or something? Or it could be a dotee swap or art doll/sculpture swap? I wanna make sea life stuff!
I’ve been watching this all night:
Cool!!! This could be fun!
“death ball sponge”
“Gummy Squirrel”
Siphonophore
Dumbo octopus
Frog fish
Just some random AF sea creatures to inspire y’all.
Oh my goodness, the Frog fish is amazing!
I love sharks and Koi fish. I would be up for that. Hmmm, Koi are freshwater, so maybe just Sharks and Octopus.
I’m interested. I have a secret sea life obsession… I almost studied marine biology in college but my research boat life dreams were interrupted by the addition of children. Now I just marvel at the weird and wonderful creatures instead.
What an incredible video! I couldn’t take my eyes off all those wondrous creatures. It really is so humbling when you think of all we still don’t know about our own planet…and the amount of living things that inhabit it.
Humbling is definitely a good word for it! It makes me feel better knowing there’s stuff like this out there, somehow. It also makes me think of how insane aliens could look. I just wish we could put more effort and time into this research! I want like twenty deep-sea subs down there!!
It’s super soothing watching that video although the vampire squid kinda scares me. Lol.
I wish I could do that too! It would have been so great! Just not in the cards for me. Maybe eventually.
I heard some crazy stories from a marine biologist that just gives me the willies.
I will certainly be safe when diving. That’s for sure.
I love frog fish! There’s lots of different types! They’re similar to angler fish (well they’re a type of angler) since they have fake bait things like them but instead of light it looks like a little fuzzy thing like for fly fishing.
I was fortunate to have been a scuba diver in my lifetime. I saw a lot of creatures, but of course, nothing so unusual and beautiful as those in the deepest waters of the seas. The corals fascinated me the most as did jellyfish, but I have had some scary and bad experiences such as being stung by a group of jellyfish and severe burns from fire coral as well as several bites from crabs, sting rays and sea urchins. But, it is still not enough for me to be afraid of all the wonders of the sea!
Oooh! The first and last Nudibranchs are my favorite of those. ![]()
I’m glad there’s some interest. If I can figure out how to be a swap moderator I will host. I just gotta read the guide or whatever.
Woah! That all sounds crazy! I didn’t know you could get burnt from coral.
I’ve snorkeled a few times in the carribean but that’s about as far as I’ve gotten to anything like that. And that was when I was 12 and 18 so a good sixteen years ago. I belong by the sea but I live about as far away as I could get in the US. Minnesota has lakes and lake superior but that’s just not the same at all. Like a bunch of brown fish and turtles… That is just not a comparison to the sea. Not that I don’t loooove turtles. I freaking love them. ![]()
Oh and I went and saw the Ocean Sunfish at the aquarium back when they had them in California which changed my life. Like I had never seen anything like that before. And at one point the Underwater World at the Mall Of America had rebooted and had some extra cool stuff like cuttlefish and some big crabs and stuff but now it’s kinda run down…
I still go there though. I got to feed the turtles last time.
If you need any help organizing, email the @SwapMods and we will be thrilled to help. We love it when our members come up with cool ideas and run swaps!!!
