I had a really hard time deciding what to make for B. Because the item had to be considered as a small item (2+ hours) I decided to make a simple bucket hat.
It has three layers of fabric. Outer and inner fabrics are the same but to somewhat keep the hats form I put a stiffer fabric between them. (didnโt have any interfacing)

Cute! And it looks so well done too. Isnโt it fun that we can make our own hats and accessories, bags, belts, even shoes! I just love being able to create all the things that I can dream of. Nicely done
I would love to be able to make my own shoes. My brother made shoes. I have all the things needed for it but I donโt know where to start.

Start with slippers or maybe soft moccasins? I think thatโs a really great way to go, and then there are some free shoemaking videos online that are like rubber or foam sole and then poke holes and stitch the upper on. They look really amazing and not so difficult to follow. One day I would like to try turn shoes. Those are where you sew the leather inside out and then turn it, but that requires some tools and a lot of hand strength.
I love the striped linen (?) fabric you chose for this! Great chill, summer vibes. I have looked at patterns/directions for bucket hats a few times, because I have a big head and THICK hair, so store-bought rarely fits. Maybe this summer, Iโll do it, if I can find such cool fabric.
