Baby A’s Quilt

Our best friend’s son is having a baby in July (the first grandchild in the family) so I dusted off my sewing machine and took the cobwebs off my fabric so that I could make the baby a quilt. I know it’s going to be a girl.

I used my favourite pattern, Wonky 9 Patch, which I first used 18 years ago to make our oldest son’s quilt.

It finished at 32” square and came together quicker than I expected since I haven’t quilted for a couple years.

This is so pretty! I love how it’s pink without being overly girly…it just looks bright and cheerful.

This is my kind of “girly” blanket. I love how wonky it is.

It wasn’t my intention to make it that way, I just used fabric I had. Baby’s mom isn’t very girly so I think this is a good thing.

It’s a beautiful gift. The wonky pattern is also the style I like. You did a great job mixing fabrics and colors.
