I followed a pattern from “Down east Thunder Farms” for this blue jay. She has so many wonderful patterns!

I did a few things differently than the original pattern. I painted some details rather than embroider them. I also added a cardboard disk between the back and front to give the ornament a defined shape.

There’s a wonderful amount of detail in this ornament. The paint i a really nice added texture with the thread and felt.
