Because Infinite Patience Deserves a Medal

My team is having our in-person retreat today. We are a mostly remote/hybrid team of educational support folks (EdMedia, EdTech, and Instructional Designers). One of the activities is for folks to share some of their (ahem) ridiculous stories of dealing with faculty. Don’t get me wrong, most are wonderful and technically I’m still faculty myself as I also have an adjunct professor position here at the college. But sometimes you really need to dip deep into your well of patience.

Anyhow the folks who get the most laughs and the most groans win. I made a couple of medals for the winners.

And a close up of the art, it’s watercolor with a calligraphy pen, and printed paper sealed with Mod Podge and topped with UV resin.

Thanks everyone. We had 15 lovely entries. It was a smashing success. The two winners were surprised by their medals, especially that I made them. One of said she’d cherish it and the other put his on immediately. Happy dance.

Those are awesome. I like how ya mod podge sealed em then did resin on top. I did not realize ya could do that so that’s actually great to know.

Also the ribbon colour looks cool. Would make an awesome looking guitar/bass strap.
