This is a belated Mother’s Day card I made for my mom last weekend, a bit late, but still made with lots of love.
I don’t make many oversized cards, so this 5x7 -which isn’t all that oversized - felt spacious. I liked the extra space to get the full effect of the embossing folder I used as well as the flowers.
I made an envelope to go along. I kind of love making these envelopes, so satisfying.
Even jazzed up a little gift box to coordinate with the card & envelope.
That’s one of the things about handmade gifts & cards that I enjoy (when I get it right) a pretty combination, not too matchy matchy.

Such a pretty set! I agree that it’s really fun to be able to make all the components coordinate.

Hot dang! That is one gorgeous card!! It looks like it must’ve taken forever to make. I love all the attention to detail. The coordinating components are just as lovely!

Thanks y’all! This card came together so smoothly right up until the end when it turned unto a comedy of unforced errors (which are glaring to me), but that’s the way it goes sometimes, right?
