My eyes have been giving me trouble so I can only work so long before I’m no longer seeing well at all.
Out of curiousity, I started writing down the time I spent and based upon how much time it takes to cover one section (a bump and part of the connecting neck area) I figure I spent more than 30 hours covering this thing with bullion stitch. Thirty!!
It was and very awkward at times. I’d have to really manipulate the bracelet (twist it, pinch it) to be able to use the needle in the inside narrow sections. I’m very glad that it is done and I can get on to something more interesting (and potentially fun).
Wow! That is a labor of love for sure. It looks amazing but my fingers and eyeballs hurt just thinking about all those stitches. Absolutely a work of art.
Foolishly, I have decided that I am going to use the same yarn on another needle/wet felted bracelet “blank”, but it will not be a time consuming stitch like the bullion!! I am sure it will take hours to do, but not thirty!
