Bird’s Eye Tea towels

I used the same medium blue warp to make these three towels, using three different bird’s eye patterns.

This is for a friend …

I gave my oldest son’s wife a towel last Christmas and later two more just because, then a couple weeks ago he asked for more towels because they like them so much. We buy eggs from them so we are going to swap for these two.

Beautiful job! I can’t believe how far you have come with your weaving! You just dove in and look and look at the results!

Thanks Linda! It’s addicting, I’m planning the next project while working on the one on my loom. When my son asked for more, it thrilled my heart.

Your towels are always go nice and these are no exception! I particularly like the small, repeated pattern aspect of these.

I do, too. Sometimes I lose track of the count though and it gets wonky. If I notice right away, I fix it but sometimes I don’t notice and end up with repeats that shouldn’t be.

As someone who’s never done weaving, it never occurred to me that this kind of small work could get tricky to keep track of!
