Okay, okay. I’ve tried crochet before and could never really get into it very much… but recently something told me to give it another try, so I got some little kits (starting with the dino), and now I’m obsessively making little octopuses.
I guess if you’re looking to figure out amigurumi, I’d recommend a kit as a decent place to start and help you understand what is goin on, and how to read patterns!

I agree that a kit for any kind of a craft is a great place to see if you are interested and to learn the basics without spending a lot on all the supplies!
Your projects are also so cute…and they would probably motivate a lot of new crocheters to make more – great for practicing your stitches!
They are fantastic! You’ve done such a good job. I wouldn’t have thought you were a beginner. I’m so glad you are enjoying crochet. I’ve done many different types of crafts, but my first and most enduring love is for crochet.
It has gotten me through some really difficult times, allowed me to show my love for friends/family with crocheted gifts and given me a much needed creative outlet.
I went to see a friend in my hometown a few months ago and I hadn’t been to her home in years and years (she usually visits me in the city). Her 16 years old son had the baby blanket I made him folded up at the foot of his bed.
I am absolutely loving that dino, but I have a soft spot for dinosaurs. Those little octopi are lovely too. I especially like the one that looks super soft and fuzzy!
Haha @gozer , yarn and I have never been friends before either, but I feel like somehow getting roped into our local weaving community has been a gateway into all the yarn and fiber arts!!
@susieoregon the Woobles yarn is really easy to work with and the kits are made with everything the exact right size, so it’s probably super exaggerating my skill level, haha! I am still in awe of the skills of real crochet-ers like you!
