Black Books Altoid Tin

I’ve been binging Black Books (a UK dark comedy from the 2000s) and was inspired to create a miniature version of the shop.

I made it inside an Altoid tin. The outside is the exterior sign from the book shop in the show. I loved the “No Time Wasters” line.

Inside is all paper, card and paint. There’s a few snips of transparency for the ‘glass’ windows.

I was so pleased with this window, getting it fairly close to the original, and then realized I’d forgotten a little sign that should have gone on the shelf before I sealed it all up! Derp!!!

Despite forgetting the stupid little sign, I’m pretty happy with this piece.

This is fantastic! Does everything fit inside the tin when it’s closed? I really like the aged look of the windows, and the window above the door. For inside the window, is everything flat, or is there actualy dimension? It is an amazing effect! I truly love everything about it, and would love to book through those books sitting out in front of the shop

Everyone’s been making the coolest miniatures, and yours is no exception. Love it! Like Cindy, I’m wondering it you can close it up with everything inside. Either way, it is super cool!
