As I am moving craft spaces and going through all of my stashes, I am finding materials that remind me of old projects which makes me want to share some of my favorites from B.LC. (Before LettuceCraft). This is one of those favorites!
I was commissioned the burger part of a Beefsquatch costume by my cousin whose daughter’s 30th birthday party was Bob’s Burgers-themed. He purchased the sasquatch mask, shorts, & tee shirt.
Here is it before shipping it off. Front and back.
The buns are made from that waffle foam stuff with the “waffle” side in. Then it’s spray painted a bun color. The sesame seeds are polymer clay beads I made, sewn on.
The fillings: brown polar fleece for the patty, yellow marine vinyl for the cheese, quilting cotton for the lettuce, muslin for the inside surface of the bun, and I don’t remember what the ketchup is made from.
Thanks! Haha! Yes, shipped it to either Washington (where the party was) or California (where my cousin lived). It was pretty flexible/collapsible, but I don’t remember how big the box was! Not small by any stretch of the imagination, that’s for sure.
Thanks, everyone! It was really fun to figure out and make work. I’m proud of how it turned out and lucky that my cousin values the time it took to make it.
