I made this for the 2025 Winter Book Swap. I found the pattern charming, and since my partner does embroidery, I thought she could use it!
I searched my stash and found (what I think) is the perfect fabric for it.
and used the instructions on a fabric for a hideous cut-n-sew vest from way back in the 80’s for the text inside. I have no idea why I kept that fabric. LOL!

Such a thoughtful project! Your attention to detail shows the love and effort you put into it. Everything from the fabric to the stitching of the pages is fabulous!
Absolutely gorgeous! You found the perfect fabric and it’s so harmonious and lovely. The book page stitch detail is that extra little something that makes it even better. I’ll definitely be looking forward to similar pin cushions in STS!
The ribbon keeps it closed. Its about 3 1/2 x 4" (2" thick). The cover seems to stay closed without the ribbon too. The bottom has a laminated piece of chipboard slid between the cover and “pages” so the pins won’t go through it and stab anyone.
I LOVE this! The way that cover fabric is framed makes it feel like it was customized specifically for this project. I really like how you sewed the book page lines and the text on the inside is such a great touch! Your attention to the details really elevates this entire project.
