Braided wheat blankets

I’ve been obsessed with this braided wheat blanket by Brianna K on Ravelry. My favorite so far is the Neapolitan blanket 🩷:white_heart::brown_heart: I used up random skeins from my stash for the pinks.

This purple one was actually the first one I made

This yellow one will be frogged. As I was weaving in ends, I accidentally snipped the yarn of one of the braids. I tried to tie it off the best I could, but it’s already starting to fall apart. That’s ok. I have another blanket idea in mind that will use this yarn instead.

Before I read your “Neapolitan” description, I thought, would it be insulting if I described her blanket as reminding me of ice cream? LOVE IT! The others look really nice, too, and I’m sorry that you accidentally snipped the braid.

Comparing colorways to food would never be insulting. Especially if it’s ice cream or cheese related. Cheese is the yummiest food. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Such a bummer that you snipped a braid! Do you have to frog the whole thing?

My sister @QueenHobo was going to felt the strands in to see how well it stayed put, but I’m going to frog and turn it into another project. I will start that this week.

I really like that braided stitch. It gives these blankets such a lovely texture. They look like they would be right at home in a home decor magazine!

These are both lovely- I can see why you are obsessed with this pattern! (But the Neapolitan is my fave, too- so I’m not-so-secretly glad that you don’t have to frog that one….:grimacing:)
