I’ve been really bad about posting my knitting projects regularly. To make up for it, here is a quick dump of all the garment-type things I’ve completed in the last year.
Springtime Heirloom Cardi
My friend commissioned me to make this for her. She chose colors I’d mostly never put together, but I love how bright it turned out. A very fun make.
Penta Pillar Pullover
The squares didn’t quite turn out square, but I still love how this turned out. I’ve discovered it is more of a transitional piece, however since my arms get pretty cold right now trying to wear this with a long sleeve shirt underneath.
Chroma rainbow sleeves
This was a stash-busting endeavor, and I love how the sleeves turned out. I made up the colorwork pattern myself. It was intended to be a fun thing to wear under tshirts, but unfortunately the temperature difference in my torso after wearing it once really has me second-guessing this. I suspect I may be planning some sweater surgery to redo the body to be full coverage…
Green Graphic Pullover
Another stash-buster, I was left with a lot of green yarn from the Springtime heirloom cardi project, so I casted on for this pattern, which I bought quite a few years ago. At the time, I was a bit annoyed because I couldn’t interpret the pattern to make the yoke/sleeves. I still can’t. But at least now I know enough to be able to modify the pattern so I can end up with a drop-sleeve situation that is sort of similar. I love how it turned out.
Em, these are each so unique, and yet each stunning. I’ve loved watching your skills grow as a knitter. I still remember you sitting on my couch, working on your first project, teaching yourself how. You are amazing.
You are so talented! These are all wonderful! I absolutely love the rainbow sleeves and hope you are able rework the sweater so that you get a ton of use out of it. And I really like the look of that green graphic sweater - I feel like if I had a sweater like that, it’d be one of my favorite things to wear!
Absolutely gorgeous! Each one looks more difficult than the next but the chroma sleeve one particularly impresses me since I can’t imagine having to change all those colors in and out. Great work!
