Draw something for your partner to colour
    Photograph prints!
“Surprise single-stamp envelope” - make whatever will fit in an envelope to reach the maxium amount of weight allowed for a single stamp.
What about a swap based on a craft item that we all have? For example, a Creative Crayon Swap where you have to use a crayon in your craft as creatively as possible. Or another random object like a Spoon or Red Solo cup.

Flat stuff, recipe exchange. Note card sets. Self care: 1 for you, 1 for me. Non-specific OTT, craft ahead style.

Flat stuff is great! Here’s a few swaps I’d enjoy, off the top of my head:-

A theme that gives some inspiration but is broad enough for lots of styles and mediums, e.g. put a bird on it, fabulous fungi.

Favourite artist / artwork (either incorporating a homage to the work, or being inspired by colours, quotes)

Favourite historical figures/events

Make a Friend

Retro / Vintage

Bingo swap - Swapgo? - just sparked by the recent chat about playing bingo with WIPs - would it work to have a swap where there was a bingo card of theme words, and the swap package had to complete one line of the bingo in some way? (e.g. 5 extra smalls, one for each word; or a medium and small that combined 2 or 3 of the words each.) I’m thinking fun and left field ideas like the L&C swap, possibly crafted ahead, not too big or stressful.

I’m planning on running IYP again soon too.

I was just thinking about the make a friend swap yesterday, that one was a fun one! I also really like the SWAPGO idea!

I enjoy the hoop swaps and the OTT.

Even if you don’t want to host your swap idea, still drop it in here. We can find hosts!

I have joined some ATCs swaps elsewhere that do a Tic-Tac-Toe theme. So instead of a 5 by 5 grid it’s a 3 by 3 grid. but same concept. you pick one row or column (or diagonal) and craft to those words/themes. Might be more manageable than 5?

here are a couple of ideas:

  • ink box cards (big sister to ATCs)
  • abstract embroidery like these
  • my favorite animal
  • Sustainable Craft Swap (Reusable grocery bags, fabric gift wrap, or beeswax wraps, etc)
  • Pet Craft Swap (Homemade pet toys, custom collars, pet blanket)

and it’s been a while since we’ve done a homemade notebook/journal swap or an assemblage type swap

I’ve been rabbit-holing old galleries lately and kind of jonesing for another masterboard and/or envelope-of-papers swap.

I like the mini pocket letter? (If only I could remember correct names of swaps, sigh!)

It was a strip of ATCs in a plastic pouch w/ ephemera, etc and a personal letter to the partner

Thats what its called.

Yes! That sounds fun and easier to do without overthinking.

I would super enjoy an anime/manga swap! I organized one on Craftster years ago.

Positive affirmations was one I would like to do as well.

Embroidery Hoops in general

I also like the idea of an “admiration” craft. Like your partner crafts something for you in a medium that you really admire, but don’t do yourself. (Or maybe you do :woman_shrugging:)

Someone also mentioned a swap inspired by certain artists. That would be fun!

I love the make a bag swap!

I would love to see bigger swaps in general. I haven’t seen much, though it’s certainly understandable with postage being what it is.

Try Something New Swap- you craft something that you don’t have a lot of confidence in or something you’ve been wanting to try, but haven’t.

Maybe an abandoned art swap?
Dotees and, of course, 6x4 art swaps.

Would anyone be interested in a basket swap? I think those fabric baskets are so cute and handy. I am sure there are ways to make them in other mediums, too.

SHARK WEEK! I would love that. Um, actual Shark Week or the female Shark Week? LOL? I am thinking the animal. My sister and I celebrate it each year.

100% would join this one.

I’m loving all the ideas tbh.
