Brides watercolor

I decided to start trying to work with watercolor again. This time it is going a lot smoother than before. I am learning to be more free. I love it when the watercolor crosses over lines and pools up. I am not sure what that is called, but I am sure it is a style. Here are two versions of the Bride of Frankenstein that I did to play with some new watercolors I got.

And close ups of each. If memory serves, I think I cut the purple haired one down to send as an ATC.

These are so awesome. I love the blending in the hair, the shading on the faces, the backgrounds - everything!

Thanks!

I made the pink one first and can tell where I got less free and started trying to control it more on the yellow one.

These are both amazing! Funny how hard it can be to just β€œdo” without being in perfect control, so good on you for allowing yourself that freedom.
