Bronze Anniversary Chrysanthemum Watercolor Painting

I took a Crafty Adults class at our library a few weeks ago, on painting watercolor flowers. Meanwhile my 19th Anniversary was coming up, and I was having a hard time thinking up a gift for my husband. I usually like to make a strange twist on traditional gifts. For our 1st (Paper) I bought a fancy board game; for our 15th (Crystal) I got him a quartz crystal D20 die, etc. 19 is bronze, and the flower is a bronze Chrysanthemum. So I painted one at the class, then ordered a bronze metal frame, and deep green mat to match. I don’t paint very often anymore, so it was fun to have a night out at the library specifically giving myself time to do that.

This is such a fun twist on the traditional gift, and so much more personal. And yay for getting to paint again!
