Can only see one featured topic with "Unread" set as home page

Starting this morning I can only see one featured topic at the top of the page on my default view. I am using Unread as my home page and it seems to resolve itself whenever I click to a different view (categories, latest, top). I verified that it isn’t an issue when I load the page in a private browser which defaults to categories.

I am able to reproduce this same behavior on macOS and iOS (I don’t have a windows computer to try) in both Safari and Chrome. Changing the home page to a different view resolves the issue so it’s definitely related to Unread set as the home page.

And here is the setting I’m referring to

(Apologies for posting this earlier then deleting the thread, I thought it had resolved itself but I realized it hadn’t so I’m posting again with more detail)

Thanks for letting us know and for providing so much detail and also doing some of the legwork!

This would be something for @sweets4ever to look into.

I will add that as of my typing this, I can see all the FPs on the Unread page using the latest version of Chrome on Windows 11.

It’s only when Unread is the first page that’s loaded. As soon as you view another page it’s fixed (until you force reload with Unread set as the home page). Can you try setting your home page to Unread then force reloading the page?

Ah. Will double check that!

UPDATE: It is the same for me as for photojenn - using the latest Chrom on Windows 11.

Thank you for reporting this, Jenn! I did an update last night, so it’s probably something related to the component not configuring with the system update properly. As soon as I am to my computer, I will investigate further. It may not be until this evening. Apologies in advance for that delay.

I guess I must have mine set to unread as well because I am only seeing a single topic as well. It was the crocheted peeps and it just now switched to a watercolor 5.

Just a note that I had the same problem earlier this morning, but it’s been fine for me since the new slate of FPs went up. (Samsung Internet app for Android.)

This was in the Latest view and the Categories view, though I only checked the latter one time as a test.

A temporary solution I found was to click the featured tag on a project. The whole bar of thumbnails was visible there and remained visible for a while when I went back to the full Latest view, though inevitably they disappeared again.

Should be good to go now.

There was an issue with the component (the code that’s added to display the featured projects). A temporary fix has been installed and the component’s author has been contacted regarding a permanent repair.
