I had these two jars with regular lids (I think I inherited from my grandmother, who saved regular food jars as well as actual canning jars) and have wanted to make funny candy jars for work staff (I don’t eat sugar myself).
Anyway, I finally got around to making the labels (using GIMP) and running them off on vinyl. Spending the shocking amount of money on candy first, forced me to finally get it done. That’s literally like $10 worth of M&Ms in that maybe a pint jar - I wanted to get generic candy coated chocolates, also not branded and all one color would look more like pills, but they don’t even carry them at Walmart anymore, and they’re insanely expensive online. The Chill Pills are blue raspberry flavored Mike & Ike’s (and even those ‘cheap’ sugar and corn syrup candies were over $5 to fill that jar).
I should’ve printed the labels slightly smaller, because they hit the curved part of the jars a little and are wrinkly at the top/bottom.
Oh, well, I think staff will get a kick out of them! (And I guess it’s less time, and slightly less expense, than baking 100s of cookies for them.)
