Captain Lucille Ball!! I chose green for her uniform as a nod to Kirk’s green tunic, and for art design reasons. I love this soooo much!! If you didn’t know, Lucille Ball helped get the original Star Trek the green light. Thanks to her love of the ideas Trek promotes, I have been a fan since I was 12. It’s got me through so much life, I am so grateful. I also have loved I Love Lucy and Lucille Ball my whole life. She’s influenced so much of who I am, and my comedy. I also love it when people tell me I look like her, because I have curly red hair and sometimes dress the part.
This is a great mash up! I had no idea Lucy helped get Star Trek going. That’s a fun fact.

I have loved the story about how DesiLu saved Star Trek and this is a wonderful homage to that story! The green is the perfect color for Captain Lucille!
I do my own makeup, which is usually just eyes, blush, and lips. I don’t wear foundation at all. The lipstick is Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink, it’s the only kind I use because I could go almost all day without it coming off, and that includes eating.

I used to wear foundation before COVID but I stopped since I was wearing aask and now that I don’t I just haven’t been. Getting dolled up is a lot of work and I’m tired.
