Catdog (dogcat?) rattles!

I recently made these little porcelain rattle shakers, and I had originally intended them to be cats, but at least some of them kinda turned into dogs. This is hilarious to me, because people always ask me to make stuff with dogs and I refuse, especially because whenever I’ve tried, they end up kinda looking like cats instead. Oh well. (Their tails are more like cats though, methinks.)

I’m just realizing none of the photos indicate size. These aren’t too big – about 3 inches in height, so they fit in the palm of one’s hand.

Here sre their butts!

Very cute! I think the one with the dark brown glaze kinda looks like a capybara! With a cat tail lol

Oh, I have never heard of porcelain rattlers. What is the sound like?

I see cats, but then I’m reading through the other comments and I can see how they can morph into other animals. I think that’s great! Allows others to interpret what they can be.

Thanks all!

@stitchandstones they just have little clay beads/bits inside to make them into little shakers. The clay basiy becomes stone, so it kinda sounds like they’re just full of little rocks!

That is so cool. I’ve never seen clay shakers/rattles, but it is a very logical thing to make. I still love them, even capybara cat
