I’ve been cramming in as many sessions of the Summer Creative Retreat as possible these past few days. Despite watching 11 different workshops, last night was the first chance I had to paint. Naturally I went with Terry Runyan’s class, Cats In Pots, which mixes watercolor and paper pots for a fun effect. Because cats.
Sadly my paper tore a bit when removing my masking tape so I painted the background yellow to disguise the damage a little better.
You can’t tell at all and I absolutely LOVE this! What kind of glue did you use? Your cats are so charming! I adore each and every one. I can’t pick a favorite!
Thank you! I used Tombow Mono Aqua glue, it’s one of my faves. But Terry used a gluestick and I think that would have been better as I did have some glue overflow on my edges.
Hee! Thank you. In person the tearing is noticeable. Either my washi tape was a bit too grippy or my 100% cotton watercolor paper is a bit crap. Or both. But it’s still a fun piece and I have zero regrets.
