Celebrate a Simple Life: Scrappy Art Hoop

I made this for the Sew Scrappy Swap. My partner had artwork by Karen Pleass pinned and I love her work. I knew I wanted to try to do something inspired by her, but still in my own style. Iโ€™m not sure I pulled it off, but it was fun to play around with my scraps and my machine and see what happened.

I added the Tolkien quote because it seemed to fit and added some wood-burning to the hoop edge for fun.

This is fabulous and so filled with joy. The word burn detail is the perfect accent and even the back is finished beautifully!

This is utterly charming! I love the playfulness of the scales and the contrasts of the prints with the solids. And you have just blown my mind with woodburning a hoop. Of course!

Thanks everyone!

I used to use my wood burning tool a lot more. I have to remember to keep it handy.

This came out so beautiful and it makes my heart so happy that I get to say itโ€™s mine
