I made this for the Sew Scrappy Swap. My partner had artwork by Karen Pleass pinned and I love her work. I knew I wanted to try to do something inspired by her, but still in my own style. I’m not sure I pulled it off, but it was fun to play around with my scraps and my machine and see what happened.
I added the Tolkien quote because it seemed to fit and added some wood-burning to the hoop edge for fun.
