Back in the fall, @Tapestry asked if I might consider making some hedgehog paint palettes for a personal swap.
I generally don’t make too many flat clay things, so it took me a while to think upon how I wanted to do this, since I wanted them to be cute. But spiky. But functional as palettes.
Anyway, I finally worked out how I wanted them to look. Despite being imperfect, I think they turned out cute! I might need to play around more with fun shapes for palettes! Thanks for pushing me out of my comfort zone, @Tapestry !!
They are perfect in every way and I adore them to bits! They’re my favorite palettes and work sooo well. The little one is the perfect size for a limited color pallette painting and the big one for more complex paintings. Their weight is just right. I could not love them more and I’m so glad we got to swap! Thank you for making them!
Here’s an action shot with paint. The wells are big enough I can mix multiple color variations of a single color and have them side-by-side.
