Checkered cowl

I have about a billion WIPs I should be finishing, but lately I’ve been feeling so stressed and overwhelmed that even just FINDING my partially finished projects feels too daunting. So the neatly packaged projects in my monthly YarnYAY! boxes have felt much more manageable (hey, I sound like a testimonial!). Here’s one I finished in something like one week after receiving, which is super fast for me lately (I’ve hardly completed any crafts at all this year): a blue and brown checkered cowl. It’s very small, but just big enough to fit around my neck and not let any breezes in, and it’s actually kind of convenient that I don’t need to twist or fold it or anything!

It was so relaxing to have such a simple project to work on with all the supplies I needed in one place (honestly just two balls of yarn and a pattern, but hey, sometimes even that much is difficult to organize!), and now I’m hoping to find something else to keep my fingers busy!

I agree…there is something about keeping your hands busy with a methodical movement that relieves stress…hope you find some projects to work on to help you out.

It sounds like the box was just what you need right now! I love kits for the convenience factor of having everything ready to go and not having to spend the time or mental energy to figure it all out. Your cowl looks great!
