Chicken and Owl Blood Drops

New job, new group of people to inspire me to make even more character blood drop squeezies!

Owl and Chicken! They both start with the basic Bob pattern:

Size F Hook

Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Red Heart)

Row 1: SC 4 in magic Ring (or, ch 2 and sc 4 in second ch from hook). Join {sl st to first SC, ch1}
Row 2: SC in each st, join (4)
Row 3: SC in first st, 2 SC in next st repeat from *, join (6)
Row 4: SC in first st, 2 SC in next st repeat from *, join (9)
Row 5: SC in first st, 2 SC in next st repeat from * to last st, sc in last st, join (13)
Row 6: SC in each st, join (13)
Row 7: SC in first two st, 2 SC in next st repeat from * to last st, sc in last st, join (17)
Row 8: SC in each st, join (17)
Row 9: SC in first two st, 2 SC in next st repeat from * to last 2 st, sc in last 2 st, join (22)
Row 10: SC in each st, join (22)
Row 11: SC in first st, 2 SC in next st repeat from *, join (33)
Rows 12-20: SC in each st, join (33)
Rows 21-23: SC in first st, SC 2tog repeat from *, join
(stuff-as-you-go decreases)
Row 24: SC 2tog
(Cram as much stuffing as you can in as you’re closing him up, remember, he’s there to be squeezed so he needs to be fairly firm.)

Fasten off.

Chicken wing

And they both use the Bird wings:

Round 1: 6 sc mr
Round 2: sc inc, sc inc, hdr inc, dc inc TURN, ch 1
Round 3: 6sc, inc, inc, 5 sc along top
Round 4: ch 3, sc in next sc x5, sc 5

Chicken Beak and Wattle

Chicken Beak and Wattle:

Beak:

Round 1: 4 sc mr
Round 2: [sc, inc] around (6)
Round 3: [2sc, inc] around (8)
Round 4: sc around (8)

Wattle:

Ch 4
4 sc in 2nd ch from hook, ss in rem 2 st. Tie to underside of beak

Chicken Crest

Crest:

Ch 10
sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc inc, ss in next 2 ch, hdc inc, ss in next 2 ch, hdc inc, sc
Fasten off, leave long tail to sew to back of head

Eyes (sewn on, or you could use safety eyes if you put them in before you close up the blood drop)

Chicken eyes

So for Owl Mark 2 I switched up the beak design to give it a little more point/curve

I’m still not entirely sure about it, so you could just use the bird/chicken beak if you like, but here’s Beak 2.0

Owl Beak

Round 1: 4 sc mr
Round 2: [sc, inc] around (6)
Round 3: sc in next 3 st, sl st, TURN
Round 4: sc in first 3 st, sl st, fasten off.

Owl eyes:

Round 1: 5 sc mr
Round 2: inc around (10)
Round 3: [sc, inc] around (15)
Fasten off, leave long tail for sewing to body
