Christmas Card Swap R4 Gallery

I received a card from @geekgirl today!

It’s so very fun and colorful. I like it’s multi textures and collage element.

She also sent along some cute little gnome stickers:

Thank you, GeekGirl!

I also received from @geekgirl!

I cut off the stickers and stamps from the envelope and added them to the gnome stamps to my collection of “stuff” I get in the mail. I like gluing all these “extras” in a notebook or send them out on happy mail envelopes!

I received from @tapestry as well! I can’t wait to read the details of making this card! I love all the images! She also included some cute “extras”.

Thanks! They are the first cards on my door for all to see!

I received from @Silky_Bee ! The colours are a little bit less intense irl.

This inherited Heino record is under our tree each year but I have to admit we don’t listen to it every year!

Thank you so much @Silky_Bee ! I love it! I really like snowglobes. I think it’s painted and stamped (??) but I can’t figure out exactly how it was made.

It’s a block print over water soluble pastels. I will post step by step pictures after everyone received.

I received from @Tapestry !

Isn’t it an adorable Christmas penguin?! There are lots of great textures and layers. The cutie is so perfectly styled and created. Love the idea of tea as a surprise winter gift too.

Thank you, Tapestry!

I received from @Tapestry and @LuckyDog today!

This is from Tapestry:

and this one is from LuckyDog:

Tapestry generously included some extra’s, I’ve been a bit too scared to include anything that isn’t strictly paper but it seems the mail processing and scanning machines don’t mind tea. I will try it tonight.

I’ve bought a Sizzix relatively recently and I’m still getting to know it, so your card is some great inspiration LuckyDog!

Thanks for all the cheerful cards, so far I’ve not received any from irl friends!

Today was a windfall of Christmas cards!

First, from @geekgirl, mixed media ornament goodness along with some gnome sticker extras:

Next, from @LovelyMiss, this exuberant Christmas tree card (the doodles on the envelope were also super cute):

@wittychild sent a trio of perfect stockings along with a cute penguin envelope decoration (also, my favorite Christmas stamp of the season!):

And last but not least, this gorgeous watercolor from @Nightlight (also with a beautifully decorated envelope):

The watercolor painting can slide out of the card front so that little masterpiece will be going on my art wall. I may need to steal that card style for next year!

Thank you all for such lovely cards! This swap is giving me so much joy right now.

I received this perfect card from @wittychild !

Thank you so much! It’s so adorable and precise!

I’m so relieved one of my cards arrived. I mailed them from a street box and was starting to get worried!

I was starting to think that Canada Post was eating my mail, but I received my first card today, from @Tapestry, with some fun extras inside:

Thank you so much!

I received from @lovelymiss! Here it is already hanging on my door! It looks like the international ones are going to be slower to get here, but I know they will!

Received my second card the other day. This one from @Tapestry.

A lovely card of ornaments with gold title. It themes well with my last card from @wittychild. First three stocking, now four hanging ornaments. It’s like the Twelve Days of Christmas. @Tapestry was so nice to include some extras with the card, tea and stickers. Very nice, Thank you!

As noted in the swap thread, I wasn’t able to get my cards finished in time for signups. But a couple of people who were in a similar boat reached out about a side swap, so I have a card to share! (I’ve taken the liberty of posting it here to keep all the goodness together as we sometimes do, but @geekgirl, please let me know if you’d rather I move this to the personal swap gallery and I’ll happily do so.)

From @Annchen (blurred just in case she’s swapping with anyone else)

Thanks, Ann!

What a lovely card! I’m so glad the two of you got to exchange cards so you could join in the fun!

I love it when we can share what we make along with swaps. I remember running the Fake Swap alongs so people could pretend swap but outside of the real swap. I think this is a better way to share so more people can see!

Lovely card indeed and quite the style you like…collage!

Everyone’s cards are wonderful! I missed the sign-ups, but megwell & kayrun did too, and they both kindly agreed to do personal swaps for cards. Got this one from @megwell and I love it!

The red & green masterboard has a plaid vibe, to my eye. The middle part is a removable ATC. Such a clever idea!

@megwell’s notable collage background! What a fun card! It does look like a Christmas plaid!
