Christmas Card Swap R4
Do we wait until we receive all of our cards? I made individual cards but I know some people made a batch. I don’t want to spoil any surprises for anyone. Do we just use the blur feature?
I know some cards will take longer to receive than others.
I can’t wait to start decorating with my cards!
you can post now with a blur
I recieved a lovely card from @AIMR with a surprise inside!
How cool! I love that the envelope was decorated too!
I received a goegeous card from @jeanneleigh today!
Thank you, @jeanneleigh!
You’re very welcome! I took a class recently to learn how to use a calligraphy pen and ink to make holiday designs - this was a branching off of the technique we learned. Of course I had to buy new supplies (inks, etc) - such a hardship! ![]()
Beautiful cards
Well, I was going to post a card but realized I don’t know how to blur it! Any advice?
I got a lovely card today from @Tapestry - just the thing to brighten up this dreary, drizzly, frigid day! She included some fun extras too. Thanks Jen!!
This text will be blurred
So glad it arrived safe and you like it!
I also received from @jeanneleigh and @AIMR!
From @jeanneleigh this elegant card. Such nice crisp lines. So pretty!
And from @AIMR another pretty card. Very festive. And a cool origami wreath.
Thanks you two!
I received from @geekgirl yesterday- love the design! And some cute extras! Thank you!
I received amazing cards yesterday from:
Thank you both so much! I love the hand inking on both! I can already tell this is going to be an epic set of cards!
I think @jeanneleigh and I both picked the same theme this year! ![]()
Beautiful cards everyone!
I received cards from @AIMR, @Immaculata and @wittychild today.
All are so beautiful and were directly integrated into my holiday decorations.
From Immaculata
From wittychild
From AIMR
@AIMR wrote happy holidays in German on the back of the envelope. And @Immaculata’s message was completely in German. That really made my day! Thanks to both of you it’s so personal!
It’s nice to be able to practice German! I had five years of German in school, I read Kafka and Goethe, and now I can barely put together a card. I can still understand spoken / written German but it’s more difficult to write or speak it myself.
Also, in my brain Christmas is forever associated with German Christmas markets and with this record: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PsXV3X1N-k In the older generation, German music and TV shows were very popular.
