I thought this one was very appropriate for you! You deserve lots of joy in your new home (although, not really new anymore at this point).

Yes, I thought the same! I think we are still new in our home…I still have about 20 boxes to go through! My sister will be visiting in April so I need to unpack them. They are shoved into the guest room right now!

I’m still waiting on 2 cards myself, and I know it is no fault of the senders. My card to @Wittychild took more than two weeks for her to receive, while hers to me was received in two days. I’m hoping with the holidays over to receive the last two this week.

The post office must have walked your card to @wittychild

I received from @Immaculata
A cute cup of hot chocolate

If I had some marshmallows I’d make some hot chocolate

How pretty! The background paper is very wintery…and yes, makes me want a cup of hot chocolate as well!

Recieved my 5th card today, from @LovelyMiss . One of her beautiful Christmas Trees. It is absolutely lovely as is the sentiment there in. Thank you very much. Just one more to come. They may be arriving after the holiday, but no less appreciated!

The little skunk postage stamp is adorable and a bonus!

Even though the cards were similarly made, each is unique. I just love this technique and will try it maybe for cards next year. Art in a card!

I get along great with my mail carrier, so yesterday, I asked him if there were any issues or problems with international mail. Here is what he told me:

He said that a lot of mail is being chewed up by the sorting machine. If there is any kind of rough edge or bump, it can tear the envelope or postcard. The torn items are then sent to a processing place where people try to piece things together, etc. to send it on its way. However, it is not done on a regular basis…sometimes for weeks at a time and not really assigned to anyone…just whoever has time…so yeah…it can sit longer.

He said there is also problems now with not enough postage. They are really cracking down on it. No one has time to collect the extra postage so they just don’t deliver it.

He said he would check at our local processing plant for me to see if he can hunt through unprocessed mail to see if there is anything with my address on it. He really is a kind and caring man who loves his job. Plus, he loves the cookies I leave for him ocassionally! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
