Christmas Crack

Thanks so many for posting this here. I thought we would still be able to use Craftser as a reference site. It’s heartbreaking to think of all the years of lost information.

I love that when you search “Christmas Crack” on Google, this thread is the 4th one that pops up in results. Keep crack alive since Deadster.

I made it for a birthday/prom/potluck party. All gone by evenings end. The whole batch!

This looks delicious! I’ve saved it to try to make it later.

I’m new here- what is deadster? Is it a reference to craftster?

Works well with rice crackers. I have used various GF crackers over the years. Not quite as good, but the chocolate and toffee make it delicious!

We failed so badly at making this on the stovetop this year. Somehow managed to burn the sugar despite following all the tips (like, blackened, smoking, and setting off the smoke alarm level burnt). Fortunately the pan survived and we were able to try again, this time making it with microwave toffee. (It is basically the same, but microwave the sugar and butter mix plus 1/4 cup water to make the toffee). Worked like a charm and was well received at both a holiday potluck we went to and my huband’s work.
