I think food gifts are some of the best things to get, especially if they keep for a while. Nobody really needs more stuff, and homemade treats mean that someone was willing to spend time on you. That’s more special than a $$$ giftcard. Money can’t replace time spent. Are the shower steamers homemade too??
“Stuff” gifts work better when we know the recipient really well. I love Ada’s pillowcases and I’m sure your husband will love the very special ornament you found for him.
I accidentally guessed my Christmas present from Mr. Imma. I don’t normally keep up with which band is on tour but somehow I found out a band I really like is in town in February. I mentioned it to Mr. Imma who turned bright red. The tickets and dinner before the show are my Christmas gifts! An excellent gift.
Yesterday my friends asked for the recipe for Oma’s Dutch ginger butter cake . We are friends from school in a small town, so I knew their grandparents and they knew mine and my grandma’s baking was legendary. I shared the recipe and also made a couple today.
