Christmas finishes

I always forget to post things in their own thread, but here are some recent finishes. Most of these stitches have been stitched a while (or years) ago but they were all properly finished this year.

Beautiful! It’s such a good feeling to finally get finished pieces mounted and ready for display.

Your embroidery pieces are lovely!
And they look zo gezellig (cozy)!

Gezellig is definitely the right way to describe our Christmas tree.

It was once called zooiboom (messy tree) by someone and I suppose it’s true that it’s very much not designer, but it’s very cosy. Some ornaments were inherited, some are handmade by me or others, some were gifts, some come from thrift shops. It makes me happy.

Many of these items have been stitched when my health wasn’t well, because cross stitch / embroidery is a good sofa or bed craft. For a lot of ornaments, I can tell exactly during which period of illness they were stitched.

Your stitches are for sure cozy and festive. I love your tree! While a super coordinated, “designed” tree is its own kind of beautiful, they don’t inspire comfort and joy in me personally. Luckily, no one is (yet) the boss of everyone else’s Christmas tree!

I love your stitching! I’m so glad you showed it off in a proper post. Your tree is the perfect place to showcase your work! Love it.

Love all of these and your tree is darling and just perfect. Our family tree is also a “messy tree.”

Life and joy are always “messy” in my opinion, because life itself is messy. I’m all for a hodgepodge of comfort and joy on a Christmas tree!

Your stitching is gorgeous and your tree is perfect.
