Christmas Wrapping Paper from Shipping Packaging

This year I got a wild hair and decided to make my own wrapping paper using the brown paper I’d gotten in a shipping box. The wrapped presents:

I used my gelli plate to print the bulk of the design. My plan was to write Christmas lyrics on the plate in Posca and then transfer it to the paper, but they would. not. lift. The upside of that situation is that I was able to use the one “copy” for every print instead of having to rewrite.

To fill in some spaces, I went back in with Poscas to do some mark-making as well as stamped with a star cookie cutter and corrugated cardboard. Alas, much of that ended up hidden in the wrapping process :woman_facepalming:t2:.

Bonus shot of the whole thing spread out on the kitchen floor:

I didn’t measure it, but by some sort of Christmas miracle, I made exactly enough for the wrapping I ended up needing to do. Thanks for looking!

I save that packing paper as well. I have been using it as underpaper, but hadn’t thought of purposely printing to make wrapping paper! Good idea!

Turned out festive and personal.

I often re-use the brown packing paper, but you have lifted it to another level.

Awesome

I save this stuff, too, but surprisingly never considered gift wrap! :astonished:

However, I must say that I was not remotely surprised to see that this was a Megwell creation! It’s so very YOU!
