That slime is awesome! I was wondering how it was made.
Love how the pumpkin ghost pops out!
Prepare to be super jealous… @marionberries included one of her beaded spiders in the house she sent, isn’t this fantastic?! The gnarled trees appear to be stiffened thick twine painted black, is that right? It’s going to be a great addition to my neighborhood. Thank you SO much for this little treasure!
That’s is so cool!
Stiffened twine! That is such a cool effect! I love how it frames that very scary pumpkin patch!
Yes, good old garden twine and lots of Elmers glue and paint. The gate is glue gun and lace. And of course a spider to guard it all.
Here’s my witchy house from @marionberries, complete with cauldron and a bubbling brew! Of course with a huge spider standing by to partake of whatever conconction lays inside!
Not to freak anyone out, but does anyone else see a scary face in the cauldron? ![]()
Thanks for a scary addition to my small but growing collection!
I like the eerie atmosphere of the pumpkin patch. It appears ordinary, but the gate and the tree and vines and spider transform it. Also somehow it looks foggy in there.
Brilliant using the green fabric to mimic acrid cauldron funk. I’m a bit envious of the witch’s sweet purple hair, but she looks inhuman with the pupil-less eyes. Devoid of emotion for others.
The spiders are amazing, of course.

Here is the fabulous house I got from @AIMR. She chose my zombie sheep theme, I love the texture she got on the sheepies. The house/barn quietly tells the story of our weeping willow tree that disappeared right after we planted it next to our pond. I love it!
Here is a view of the back.
And here is a shot of it residing with some of the other zombie sheep houses I’ve received over the years.
Thank you again, Linda and thanks so much to @irid3sc3nt for hosting!
So glad to contribute to your growing collection! It was a bit spooky to craft at night in my room. I had nightmares of all those eyes staring out! ha
Thanks for swapping with me. @irid3sc3nt this was my first swap back from flaking last year so I am happy to be back in good graces to do this one. It is definitely a favorite!
I received from @Reese52 !
So cute, right? Well, watch this!
It lights up!
Amazing first chunky house! Thanks for swapping and sharing your creativity with me! And thanks to everyone for another great round!
Here’s a group shot of my line up:
How clever to add lights! The expression on the moon and cat are wicked!
Your collection is wonderful!
Glad you like it! I was nervous about this swap, but happy how it turned out.
I received from @LovelyMiss. She went with my vintage theme. Thanks you! Great first addition to my collection. Can’t wait for the next swap!
Wow, what a cool special effect!
So many layers. Love it!
Hahaha, yes! So many zombie sheep! Looking at my old one I’m like, “Why didn’t I put a different color of paper for the roof?”
What was used on the sheep?
I think I would be petting your chunky house. It looks like ribbon and fabric and… is that punch needle in the back? It’s really cool, very mixed media. Is the JoL on paper or wood? Those pink cheeks-- I want to squidge them!
I hadn’t thought about lighting up a house before, wow!
I was thinking about this Mothman costume that would be neat with lights, but what if there were a chunky house with Mothman and two red glowing eyes?
I like the gold flourishes on the frame. They remind me of something as well. I think it’s from a youtube video I watched a few days ago where Simone Giertz gave a tour of her tiny house and showed a little stow-away area that was hand-painted to look like the furniture from the movie Frozen. So… I’m guessing the design is kinda influenced by Scandinavian countries? Or Art Nouveau. Lol, I’d have to look at some of my art history books.
@LovelyMiss You are really rocking the texture and 3-D effects on these houses! Something new and surprising every year! The smiling pumpkin on that background is just enough to act as a focal point without taking away from all the colors and textures of the background. Can’t wait to see your post on how you did it!
