Closed - Prairie Schooler Fall/Winter Swap Round 2 - Send by Sept 12th

I’ve not found shops that sell the patterns in digital form? Only the hardcopy ones. If that exists it would be great. The re-issued patterns are printed on regular paper instead of the old cardstock leaflets, so really there’s no advantage in buying physical patterns anymore.

Oh weird, I thought for sure there would be some downloadable ones, but it seems like all you can get are hard copies except for the free Halloween owl on the Prairie Schooler website from 2018.

I have a mix of original and reprinted…both are of good quality. I have to blow up the stitch patterns so I can see and keep track. I gave most of my patterns and booklets to a friend because I was having trouble seeing…but, thanks to my weirdo magnifying goggles and Ott light, I can do it much easier now!

I got you the pattern and will PM you on getting it to you so you can use it in this swap!

I already posted this on the Stitchalong thread (since the current theme is Night Sky), but I should post it here too! I’ve been stitching a few of these little patterns and trying out different colourways, and I made this one while deciding on what to stitch for my partners.

The original pattern (from Cranberry Christmas) was mainly red and white, but I changed the colours, and mashed up the patterns to add in the little bunnies from another pattern in the same booklet. I really like how these patterns can be adapted relatively easily.

Ooh. I love that little house! So cute. I really like these patterns too.

I finished mine! I used an old cross stitch kit for the finishing part and after some drilling because it wasn’t made properly in the 80s, It’s boxed up and ready to head out to AIMR! I just have to find time this week to get to the post office.

That’s super fast! I’m sure it’s lovely. Can’t wait to see the pictures!!

I haven’t even started yet. I’ve had a chaotic week at work with overtime. Tommorow morning I’ll have an important meeting at work (pretty boring as well) and then I’m done with the stressful things this week. I can work from home on Friday and get some rest - as an introvert, working from home is resting even if I’m doing a lot. Mr. Imma will be out of town for the next couple of days so I can hopefully get quite a bit of stitching done this weekend.

I am done with my first project! I love it so much that I am going to make one for myself after the swap.

Before I start the second swap one, I am going to work on a pattern that fits this month’s stitchalong theme!

I have fallen back in love with cross stitch!

I found my cross stitch stuff! I wasn’t sure if I had it downstairs or upstairs, in the closet or on the table, in the waffle bag or laying under a box, and I found it easily. Everything but the patterns was waiting for me in a corner of the craft room and the patterns were found where they were supposed to be in the closet. I know what pattern I’m going to use, but I have to change it a bit. I also need to enlarge the chart so I’m not squinting at it

How is everyone doing??

I’m making progress. It took me some time to get started but I’m working on it now and I like it! So far, it’s entirely from stash as well. That wasn’t really on purpose, I just have a good stash of embroidery supplies.

I’m still finished but still haven’t made it to the post office! I will bring it when I go into the office tomorrow and take it there on my lunch break.

Ooo nice to be able to use it all from stash! I had to purchase a couple flosses. I’m using my last Q-Snap that does not have a project on it.

I’ve finished some pieces, just deciding if I want to try one or two more patterns out - a few to send and a few to keep :grinning:

Hey, I just noticed that September 10th is a Sunday, and the post office will be closed. Could we have an amended send date?
