My mom’s birthday was getting close (too close) and I remembered she wanted some coasters… Her house is very oceanside cottage and she lives near the beach, so I made coastal coasters!
The cork bases are sealed on the edges with Birkenstock cork sealer, the twine in the middle is rough hemp twine with several washes of baby blue watered down acrylic, edged by small shells that are from an old hippie-ish macrame belt.
Due to arrive at Mom’s house tomorrow so we don’t have a Mom reaction yet…
“ver. 1 (version one)” because I am hoping to make some more coastal coasters for her in a different style to go with these.
