I haven’t made this recipe in ages, but this is the first time as muffins. It’s my originaI hand-written recipe card, complete with splatters. I usually substitute yogurt for the sour cream and don’t recall ever using margarine (and I know any recipe from my mother would only use butter!) For the large muffins, I reduced the bake time to 24 minutes. I only had ground walnuts on hand, which made for a lot of crumbs. I actually like it better the second day,

I find some baking is better the next day, seems the flavours blend while it sits.

What a nice memento, both the recipe and the card!

Thanks. I haven’t baked in months because it’s been so hot - couldn’t bear to turn on the oven, so it’s a treat to have something homemade!
these look yummy!
and your handwriting is so nice!
I enjoy flipping through my old recipe cards, esp ones that my mom or grandma wrote! Makes me feel connected to them, just seeing their handwriting.
