I have finally just accepted that one of these got lost in my studio rearranging somehow, but 3 have been sent and received, so now I can share them here…
I started these as postcards but then decided they really did need envelopes. The base is printed out vintage seed ads I found on the internet. Over that a collage of paint, drawing, and fabric embellishments.

I often wonder if repression during those times caused people to go a little mad…the images are always a bit creepy to me but I love them! Doesn’t it make you wonder what was going on in the creator’s head?

I just love weird vintage stuff because we think the world is weird NOW but… there’s so much of this bizarre-ness in history. I am always wondering about how people thought about things in different time periods that led to the art they left behind.

I have seen some really odd SnapChat pics. They creep me out. Those big eyes remind me of those big eyed people art work they had back in the 70’s…I think there were dogs and cats as well…guess every time has that!
