Once a year my lovely colleague will book a conference room after work. She shares some of her stash of papers, card blanks, stamps, stickers, dies and ephemera. Card making and Christmas themed fika ensues.
I picked out some festive papers with a similar vibe and decided to cover a lot of the card with them since the designs were pretty large. The corners were rounded using a corner punch and all edges are inked to not look white. There were special stamp pads and tools for that.
For embellishment I browsed her huge stamp collection and picked out a few. They’re stamped in black ink and then cut out and the edges inked. I decided to add a few pops of colour with coloured pencils. I also found a paper that had seasons greetings in all kinds of languages so I used strips of that instead of writing or stamping Merry Chrismas.
The envelopes and inside of the card were decorated with matching stickers. I hope the recipients enjoyed the cards! I love sending them, but most of the ones I send out are storebought, It was nice to have the tools and supplies to make some handmade ones.
