COMPLETED - Junk Journal Page Swap

Junk Journal Page Swap

Gallery

For this swap you will make 1 junk journal page (one side only) for your partner. Your partner can then adhere the page into their junk journal.

You can have up to 3 partners. Unless you make them bulky or super thick they should be able to be sent in an envelope. Therefore you must be willing to send internationally.
You need to email the organizer and your partner when you send and when you receive.

Your decorated journal page should include 3 interactive elements such as:
writing/journaling spot
journal cards
pockets
flaps
tabs
windows
belly band (for the page not the whole journal)
Hidden journal spot
tuck spot (like a pocket but only glued on one or 2 edges instead of 3)
Flip out page
decorated paper clip

I am feeling super-inspired by this swap! I already came up with eight themes for my questionnaire, and I kind of want to start making some pages for myself using these swap parameters :smile_cat:

Definitely interested in this one! Do I understand correctly that we’re talking one side of one page (not counting any flips)? Or is it one page front and back?

Not a deal-breaker for me either way; I just want to make sure I know what I’m getting into when it comes time to choose number of partners .

one side. that way your partner can choose to either glue it down in their journal or use it as a flap and do something with the backside if they want.

I added that to the description

I know everyone will have their own preference, but what size page would be ā€œtypicalā€?

I’m not sure what is typical, but I asked for A5 (21cm x 14.5cm), or A5 but narrower (21cm x 10.5cm). And I’m also happy for smaller or bigger - smaller would be easier to glue in to something, and mailing internationally too.

That’s useful info, I was thinking A5. I feel I might want to some practice before committing!!

Thanks

I haven’t sent in my q yet, but my current journal’s max size is about 5.5 x 9 inches/not quite 14 x not quite 23 cm. But like @jemimah I’m amenable to smaller than that.

I have been contemplating on starting a junk journal and this would be a great swap to get me motivated. I will be sending the questionnaire later today.

I’ve been deliberating down to the wire, as always. I think I’m going to jump in, I just gotta wait until I’m home tomorrow to measure my junk journal pages!

That’s what I decided in the end. How wrong can junk go??? :joy:
