I was finally able to give my friend the quilt I made her! Just in time for the surgery she’ll have soon and then winter.
This is the best picture I have of the finished result.
I gave her a few more small gifts including a zipper pouch. I hid the grocery gift card in the zipper pouch, I told her to check it when we left! My friend has a disability and is on a low income. She’s doing fantastic but it’s not easy. I know because I help her with her taxes. She used to get a food bank parcel but often it was more than 50% chocolate and cookies and then mostly processed stuff like oven fries, so she stopped getting it. She doesn’t want to be a burden on others so I figured she wouldn’t accept cash.
