Years ago, he had a hard time with how much crafting I do. Especially swaps! How could I make cool stuff and then just send it away?
So we had a long talk about how:
Doing swaps broadens my crafty horizons and inspires me to try new things
Swaps deepen my friendships with this lovely bunch of people
Swaps allow me to craft to my heart’s content for people who appreciate the time and effort
Crafting is a necessary outlet for me and protects my sanity
He is now my biggest crafting advocate. He supports my crafty efforts, cheers me on, supports my craft supply hoarding addiction, reminds me to set aside crafting time for myself when life gets hectic, and even drops off my swap packages at the P.O. for me.
Awww, that’s absolutely lovely and yay for Mr. Bunny1kenobi being so supportive! My husband also struggles to understand why I insist on doing swaps and sending away the things I make, but he’s happy to enable my craft supply addiction .
Another winner! Sounds like you won in the hubby dept, too!
TheMisterT is baffled by my paying attention to lots of weensy details with certain crafts. I just tell him, “it’s my commas.” You see, when going through final drafts of his writing he is mostly “just moving commas around.”

My hubby also wonders how I can make cool stuff and then send it away. I take it as a huge compliment when he says ‘is that for us?’ and is disappointed when I say no.
