I was a bit bummed that I couldn’t donate to the sale. It does look like a lot of work to manage! I’m hoping I can add something to the sale next time.
How is the theme decided? Can we vote on the next one?

This is my other garage sale work in progress - a tote bag.
Ooh that tote will be gorgeous!
Eeeep. I love that so much! It’s perfect in every way. ![]()
Gorgeous!
This year the theme was decided around both the season (spring) and the big item I had to kick off the sale (the Sunshine & Rainbows quilt & pillow that I made). It was also a fun theme that all the Mods could enjoy while crafting for the big Bundle that’s currently for sale.
I imagine next time around will work in a similar way. A theme that makes sense at the time. But you are of course welcome to suggest ideas. ![]()
Rainbow was a fun theme. I would totally go for a Magic/Fantasy theme. Then I could make a felt dragon. ![]()
Btw, the theme isn’t mandatory in any way. You can totally just craft a dragon if you want to. ![]()
When will the sale be ending? Still thinking next week sometime?
We have two, maybe three, more pieces to post. Hoping to photograph and gather shipping materials this weekend. ![]()
I have one more polyclay figure to donate. I just need to finish it this weekend. If donations are still accepted, of course.
I also have a few more donations planned. I picked up supplies and shipping materials yesterday for a new embroidery project (projects? I plan on making a few of the same item). ![]()
I need to get pictures happening for my donation.
I had no idea! Alright, dragon!!
What a splendid tote that is going to make!! All the details!! ![]()
Yeah, the first time around we didn’t have a theme beyond “Oh goodness, we need to save our community somehow!” It was a mad scramble to check through all of our gift cupboards and such to find things we had on hand that we made without specific homes in mind.
I will keep accepting donations through May 6th. After that, unless people come up with a bunch more exciting donations, I will need to be done for this round. But I’m happy to do another round in a year or two.
Personally, I have a LC-themed embroidery bundle to get photographs of and list too. Plus, I’m trying to finish a picnic quilt and matching cooler bag, to get one last big donation in.
Let’s hope I can get it done quickly, now that the huge blocks are all done.
Did the mystery buyer receive the basket I sent? 2 of 4 items is confirmed received so far, bit stressful waiting with fingers crossed. The post is certainly a challenge these days.
I have some lettuce tiles coming out of the kiln on Monday, so if they turn out well that may be up also.
As far as I know, they did? As in, I haven’t heard that they haven’t received.
