This is the pallu end of the sari I picked out. The pattern pieces just barely fit crossgrain, so that the leg ends on the finished edge and the waist doesn’t cut up into the jacquard on the other edge, which I think would be too bulky at the waist. I think I will cut it so that the embroidered green bit with the peacocks is on one leg of the pant and the other is just the green, and then use the red bit to make a matching blouse.
