has anyone made one of those crocheted weighted blankets with pony beads. They actually look cute. I have a weighted blanket but its just too heavy and hot. and too big and cumbersome to use to curl up on the couch.

I haven’t but I am also interested in making one of those! It is cute and would be great to curl up in front of the window to read! Yikes…so many possibilities…not sure if I like just the one color bead or the rainbow ones or the autumn ones…rabbit hole weekend!

I went to Michael’s and got 2lbs of pony beads for $11.
I had a 30% off coupon, a $5 voucher and got my very first senior discount 
I liked some of the other color schemes better but these bright ones will go better with the yarn I’m going to use
I’ll need more beads but there will be another coupon available by the time I’m ready for them

I used self-check out but the cashier did come over to “help”. Guess she was bored.
I checked after, the app only has my birth month and day, not year. they don’t start their senior discounts until age 55 so I have 3 more years! Also you have to enroll for the senior discount on the app.
I guess the cashier added it when she was asking me about signing up for a credit card.

It’s turning out quite gaudy. I’m trying to use up all this burnt orange yarn I have that I dont particular like.
It works up easy though. If I was to make another one I’ll pick out some pretty yarn and maybe some not so bright beads
