Crochet Kalinda Shawl

This has been on the hook for too many years. It got parked when I couldn’t count and the wave pattern wouldn’t work! Despite counting the stitches many times, I just couldn’t!

I picked it up recently when looking for a different UFO and was determined to finish it.

And I’m calling it done. The last rows are not as the pattern is written but I didn’t want to get into a mess with the pattern again so finished as it started, kind of. Needs a wash and blocking, but that’s a whole other project

I used a Sheepjes whirl

You did it! It looks beautiful! The colors gradiated out perfectly. I am glad you figured out a way to finish even if you didn’t follow the pattern. It is wearable and just gorgeous.

Thanks all.

Yesterday it was warm enough to sit outside and craft, so I sat by the river and thought…. I could spend 20+ hours doing the remaining 20ish rows and messing up the stitches or I could get a finish!!

My 50 projects goals for the year - FINISH 2 long term WIPs.

This is definitely one of them. And I’m not gonna lie, it’ll probably get used before washing and blocking happens

It’s really lovely. Well done on finishing it up!

Oooh! This is so pretty! I can’t crochet, but it looks perfect to me. The colors are fantastic.

This is gorgeous. Love the colors! It would be hard not to wear the heck out of this!!

Let’s be honest, it’s gonna be worn before it gets blocked! This is the perfect garment for the in between seasons that don’t know what they are doing
