My grandma gave me her yarn, so I decided to make mini stockings with some of it so everyone in the family could have something made with her yarn.
I originally started these late in 2024, which was not enough time to finish them all before that christmas! When I didn’t finish them in time, I shoved them in a pile of WIPs, but I finally dug them out again to finish for christmas 2025 (so many ends to weave in!).
I tried a few different patterns, but they didn’t turn out how I wanted, so I made up my own! I used a variety of acrylic yarns to make them in a bunch of different colors. Most of my relatives took one, so I think they turned out well!

My grandma used to make everyone in the family a little plastic canvas mailbox with their name stitched on it that we used to hang on her tree every year. I used to put a little note to myself in my mailbox as we were putting the tree away so I could read it the next year. If I was feeling generous, I’d also include a dollar or two. It was a fun thing to look at when we pulled out the tree the next year. That would be something you could do with these little stockings!
