These are so neat! I made a few crocheted rag rugs from tee shirt yarn (that had been repurposed from worn out shirts), but I was never really able to use them. My dog would come along and “beat them up” into a wad on the floor, and eventually I got tired of straightening them 12 times in a single day. Maybe I’ll try again some day. Well done!
They look great! And I bet they are very soft, warm, and absorbent. I should make some for our bathrooms, the children are so sloppy coming out of the shower. It’s like a swamp in there when they are done! Some quick wash rugs would be great.
Yes, they really are soft and warm. I love standing on them! Because they have so many crevices, if they were used at the shower or bathtub, I think they would have to be washed often. They wouldn’t dry very quickly on their own.
That’s why I only use mine at the sink and commode. But being so tightly crocheted, they do wash well. Any fabric tails that might come loose can be easily tucked/handsewn back in.
